Ashley did this sketch on CSP trying out to sketch with the gouache brush, which definitely gave it a different feel than our usual 100% opacity "rough pen" brush, lines aren't completely dark so we can be a little looser with it, not connect everything, leave open spaces, that sort of thing. it looks smoother too even when it's rough, whereas the rough pen is always well. rougher due to the texture and brush shape. -Julia
my fur's not blue but we're often all blue emotionally and I guess this was another expression of that. I'm doing okay now though, main goal with this was like Julia said, experimenting, less venting. shading with that brush is kinda fun too.

Rina's an adorable galarian ponyta(ur), we don't draw horses too often so this was fun :3
we did that thing of going a little experimental with coloring the lines and background in an interesting way in lieu of coloring the character, I have a soft spot for pieces done like this, I think they can look pretty neat. this is still a "sketch" by our definition cause there wasn't a second pass lining it, just cleaning up rough edges~

๐ Julia did a little sketch on Krita yesterday to test it out and get a feel for the program, done on Linux which feels neat conceptually for someone who was just learning what that was all about. the brushes in krita feel very different than CSP but nice to use from what I remember.
๐ซ yeah if we can dedicate some time to customizing all the shortcuts to be more like CSP's so muscle memory doesn't keep screwing us over, I think it'd be possible to adapt? food for thought for potentially ditching CSP and windows.
