sometimes I wonder what makes my art less "shareable" than others.

This is a very stupid thing to think about, I'm painfully aware, but if I want to try and make any money with my art that's a thought I have to wrestle with. I don't want to compromise what I'm doing with art in the name of making it more "shareable" (I wouldn't even know where to start with that even if I wanted to) but I wonder why I don't see that much with my stuff, a few friends help me out by sharing stuff reliably, most people drop a like and don't share it. I've seen artists go a little mad worrying about this and I don't want to go down that path, so I'm not blaming people for not wanting to share my shit, I don't share every art I see so I get not wanting to share a thing.

It's just the inherent problem with social media and trying to build up an audience, you rely on others for help with that and when that doesn't happen it can be super demoralizing and you're unconsciously made to think your work sucks because of it, which is awful! I've been in that hole and it's not pleasant.

This isn't a plea to like "PLZ SHARE MY ART", only do that if you want to, and I appreciate those who do, just wanted to write this all down, maybe other people can relate.
