I'm doing some research to write a post here and I'm now looking up old 1968 billboard issues for some ads I need. though the thought has occured to me "what if those ads were on cash box or even record world??"
anyways I think this will be worth it, I like looking through these old magazines, it really was a different time and it gives me some life seeing the music I listen to being talked about there, be it in ads or short reviews. I don't get that feeling anywhere else because not a lot of people are into music of the time, like really into it.
If you've ever wanted to read old music industry publications this website is an incredible archive, it's useful and has given me hours of fun
