I've posted about this before so apologies to longtime followers for the rerun but in my work as the Extremely Unpaid Archivarius Of The Porn List I've noticed a LOT of recent arrivals adding some variation of "minors dni" to their profile if they make any kind of adult content. After years on Twitter, with their infuriatingly slipshod approach to adult content moderation, this is an understandable habit to be in! However, it's one you can let go of, if you want to.
See, there basically AREN'T minors on Cohost - admission to the site STARTS at 16 (unless you lie about your age, which isn't something @staff can prevent), and if you're under 18 you can't see anything that has the "18+ content" toggle switched on. You also can't view Cohost's 18+ content without being logged-in to an 18+ account. And, if we're being honest with ourselves, teens aren't exactly flocking to Cohost anyway. The little shits are all on Tiktok.
Assuming you're keeping all your adult content properly tagged, the only way a minor could interact with it would be by explicitly violating site TOS, which would be a problem for THEM, not you. Moderation on here is done by humans and the humans that run the site know it's not your fault if a teen breaks site rules to look at your porn. So, if you want to, let your hair down and lose that DNI.
Also I've seen some people giving their porn a CW for "nsfw"? Why are you doing this. You're just giving people who're opted-in to 18+ content an extra clickthrough. Stop doing this
