New video game genre: Metroidvanya, a platformer with a large interconnected map that gradually opens up as you obtain more traversal and combat abilities, and also it's all set in a turn of the century rural Russian estate, and concerned mostly with matters of inheritance, class, family, and the contrast between life in the capital and provincial life.
