Okay, here's a question: What is the oldest proper Isekai? Or, barring that, can anyone name any older than Aura Battler Dunbine? I've tried looking on DDG, but the results are all articles that treat 1990 as unfathomably ancient and don't even mention anything as old as Mashin Hero Wataru, let alone Dunbine, so I've been kind of stymied.

Isekai no Yuushi (Warrior from Another World) by Takachiho Haruka (of Dirty Pair) tends to be what gets brought up.

Where I did get responses, they tended to... not quite get what I was getting at by my attempt to narrow things and cited stuff like Urashima Taro, or just Dunbine again because they thought maybe I was making reincarnation or after death a condition. (Even though that was a very rare plot element until extremely recently)
