Tags from rechosted posts are carried over visually, but they don't actually count for discoverability. You need to retag if you want your rechost to also be discoverable.

Yep, there’s two conditions required for a rebug to show up in tag searches:
- The tag in question must be on both the original post and your reply (so that you can’t make people show up in searches they don’t want to be in)
- Your rechost needs to be a reply (i.e. you added text or an image, not just tags)
