I think steam's been engaging in apologia for fascism in general for a while, really.
Their position could be that opening the borders didn't cause the fascism.
The idea that it wasn’t at least a significant contributing factor would be an unorthodox position, but this doll is willing to hear it out.
I feel like the "likely to create arguments [and] rule violations" is the more relevant part of that warning than the "inflammatory" part, especially given how the Steam community forums tend to be about anything left of Mussolini.
It's still a bad call, but more of the "mods, like traditional cops, are lazy bastards" kind than the "fascist apologia" kind.
