Hi! We're a fairly diverse plural system with various origins and interests! ADHD, autism, likely BPD. Uhm... Yeah, gonna work on this a bit more soon?

if snake farm didnt really click with me, do you think its going to be worth giving fish fear me a chance? or is it similar enough that i shouldnt bother

Great question! (also sorry it took me like two weeks to get to this, i've had a lot going on lmao)
It depends on why you didn't like SNAKE FARM, tbh. If you didn't like:

  • the soundtrack: FISH FEAR ME's soundtrack is being done by the incredible Josie Brechner, who's putting together some incredible outlaw country/witch rock fusions for the OST. Worth giving another shot!
  • the graphics: FISH FEAR ME has pretty much the same graphic style, using my classic "bad-core" pixel art sensibilities. Probably pass!
  • the gameplay: FISH FEAR ME is a very different game, making a few rule shifts that dramatically change the dynamics of the game. Both retain elements of money-making, luck-pushing, and build-crafting, but FISH FEAR ME is designed to encourage a large variety of choices in runs. Worth giving another shot!
  • the characters: Why? Why would you hate my horrible child, Goose? Why would you do this to me? Why? Why? Why? Anyways Goose isn't in this game but their cousin Gull (even worse) is
  • the score chasing: FISH FEAR ME is (at least to start, subject to change post-launch) moving away from score-chasing as a primary motivation for improvement. Instead there's a number of roguelike puzzles you can solve in order to progress: discovering new fishing spots, hunting new sea monsters, testing new builds against the final boss. Worth giving another shot!
