Anybody else think it's weird that the new Mario Party randomly has two old boards from Mario Part 1 & 2? It's as if they created them for Superstars DLC and then just decided to put them in the next game instead because everyone always complains they don't include enough boards.

It feels especially weird to me because the gimmick for one of the "new" boards reminded me a lot of Faire Square from 6. Why make a new board with an old gimmick if you're already okay with just remaking old boards? Faire Square was dope!

Both Switch Mario Party entries were practically designed to be exploited for paid DLC (especially the bizarrely content sparse Super Mario Party) and for whatever reason Nintendo and NDcube were just never interested in pursuing that. I don't imagine Jamboree will be any different. Then again it is kind of nice to know you'll get a complete game when you buy it...even if it might not have enough content in it from the jump.

Seven boards is above average (6) for the series, and 110 minigames is actually the most ever. Personally, I don't really mess with the extra content most of the time. I played the volleyball game in 4 and there was a cooperative sliding puzzle game in Super which was actually really fun with four people, but I treat those mostly as potentially fun extras. As long as the core party mode has enough variety, that's all I need. Seems like Jamboree's got more than enough for me this time.

As good as I think Jamboree looks, I was also saying during the reveal "fuck you, NDcube" for not doing more with Superstars.

I'm not sure how likely it is that those two boards were originally meant to be DLC considering how long it's been since Superstars release though, but I could be wrong.
