I hate that I'm, more and more, getting this uncanny sensation from the ads I see on YouTube (or the TV, when I pop into my aunt watching what she watches).

It's rarely plainly obvious at this point, and I'm aware of what these AI models can now do. There are so many ads that can be described like this happening one after the other, but every expressionless or even overtly-expressive human face whose body is either standing perfectly still or not doing much else whilst the "camera" makes one slow panning shot after the other has me quirking my brow.

All my life, I've strived to never turn out as the old man yelling at clouds, but our adoption of "AI" tech will absolutely push me over the edge. It's late-stage capitalism's newest low and I want it gone.

Once again, businessmen are being total idiots. They should be embracing how terrible and surreal AI can make things instead of trying to make them realistic. If I saw an actual commercial like Pepperoni Hug Spot, I would be instantly won over.
