Started digging into authentic SNES composing today. I made this track using the SNES module in Furnace Tracker and the Super Mario World samples (which I found in @hvb's excellent guide.
The SNES's sound chip is probably one of my favorite sounds to play with. After watching Button Masher's tutorial about making authentic SNES music, and with all the excitement around Grand Poo World 3 (a new Kaizo Mario ROM hack), I finally took the plunge. These sounds are so inspiring!
My goal was to keep two channels completely empty for sound effects, so I think this might actually be functional in SMW if I had the spc file. Maybe I need to go deeper...
