Hello. I hope you are having a lovely yuri day. Here is a short list of yuri I really like, if you're looking for something good to eat ~

Cover of Even Though We're Adults 1, in a roughly painted style. A woman with long black hair, in a blue coat and casual clothes, looks off-panel, thinking. A woman with short, light hear, wearing a pink coat and skirt, looks at the first woman, observing her.

Even Though We're Adults by Takako Shimura
A bartender sleeps with a teacher, only to discover she's married. An exploration of the difficulties adults can have discovering and managing relationships.

Cover of How Do We Relationship Vol 1. Story and Art by Tamifull. Shows a light-haired, long-haired young woman wearing a red tunic reaching over and playfully kissing a surprised, bashful, and fashionable young woman with short dark hair, a yellow sweater, and a long blue skirt. A gang of friends leans out of a window to cheer them on.

How Do We Relationship? by Tamifull
Two college lesbians start dating on a whim, but run into problems when they try to express their needs. A genuine, heartfelt look at the difficulties of communication.

Cover of Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games by Eri Ejima. A girl with light hair in a bob looks furiously at the camera, her golden eyes filling with tears.

Girls at an uptight high school embrace their love of fighting games. Full of gorgeous renders of girls crying and screaming at games. There's a tournament arc. If you like video games at all, please read this.

Cover of The Guy She Was Interested In Wasn't A Guy At All, by Arai Sumiko. Shows a dynamic angle of black and white characters on a neon green background. Two girls sit on an amplifier. One, androgynous, wears ratty jeans, sneakers, and a hoodie, with a face mask and painted nails, she looks down at the camera. Next to her is a nervous, blushing girl staring at the first, with long, light hair, in a school uniform, short socks and loafers.

An introvert with a love of hard rock makes a new friend. Incredibly stylish, and written clearly by someone with a love of music.

Cover of Liar Satsuki Can See Death, by Ryouko. Shows a dark-haired girl with a school uniform, kneeling over a dead body and looking at the camera with a nervous expression. The body lays, very dead, a school girl in uniform with a red bloodstain on her chest. Her arms are splayed out.

Liar Satsuki Can See Death by Ryouko
Yuri-light. A high school girl, cursed to see death before it happens, tries to prevent it. A mix of detective mystery and slice of life, and very dark at times.

Cover of Otherside Picnic (Their Strange Exploration Files) by Iori Miyazawa. Two girls stand in front of a door, which connects the background (a modern cityscape) with a new world that they now stand in - a wheat-filled field with an ethereal background. One girl looks confident, long light hair, wearing a school uniform (white button up, dark skirt) and holding a massive rifle. The other looks a little nervously at the first, wearing a red hoodie over a white tee, and black jeans, as she cocks a pistol.

Yuri-light. Two college women explore a horrifying alternate universe, full of unknowable monsters, to make money while searching for a lost friend. If you like creepypasta, this might be for you.

Bonus round:

  • Futari Escape: Two young women do anything they can to avoid work.
  • A Monster Wants to Eat Me: A high school girl who wants to die meets a mermaid who might grant her wish.
  • I Don't Know Which One Is Love: A college woman falls ass-backwards into five relationships at once.
  • She Loves to Cook, She Loves to Eat: Two lonely women befriend each other over their love of food.
  • Lily (by Yy): A high school love story grows into a college love story. Slowly, deeply explores the growth of a relationship.
  • Moonlight Garden: A secluded, otherworldly brothel hides the lives of it's mysterious inhabitants. One wants to escape.

I have read so so much yuri in the past couple of years... we really are living in a golden age. I have at least twice as many I could recommend.

At some point I'll make this into a full, thorough post, like I did with Lily Explores Ten Transgender Manga (which I would super recommend if you want some good trans stuff~)

happy yuri day <3

She Loves To Eat And She Loves To Cook is so fricking good aaaahhhgggggGGGGHHGGHGG. VOLUME 3 FOR ITS ENGLISH TRANSLATION CAN'T COME SOON ENOUGH (OCTOBER IS SO FAR AWAAAAAY).

A personal recommendation of mine though is Doughnuts Under a Crescent Moon by Shio Usui. It's about a lady who's been desperate to feel any love/satisfaction with her romantic life accidentally bumping into a coworker while having a bit of a mental breakdown, and the coworker offers her a doughnut. Conflicted but extremely warm and asexual yuri ensues. I personally get some aromantic vibes from it, too, but mayhaps that's silly, pff.

Also the transgender manga woh..... I may end up reading Bokura no Hentai, pff.....

Hehe, She Loves to Cook She Loves to Eat is so sweet... I started cooking more recently as well, so now I'm DOUBLE invested.

Ah, yea! We actually own Doughnuts, if I remember right, I'll have to check it out and read it. It sounds lovely, I really enjoy coworker yuri tbh ~

If you read Bokura no Hentai, I hope you enjoy it! It's definitely pretty rough at times; I think it's in a good way, though, and it really struck my heart a lot. The characters are all very very human, ups and downs.

Stories that're rough but ultimately happy at the end are the greatest stories of them all!!!! I also only just remembered that Still Sick by Akashi also exists, which is another coworker yuri, pff... Mainly about two women trying to figure out what they REALLY want in life, and taking strides in achieving those wants/goals, which may or may not end with yuri, but it focuses pretty hard on the concept of love and support helping folks get over apprehensions with what they want in life, not just yuri as the endgoal. BUT MAYBE THAT'S ALREADY BEEN READ. I JUST REALLY LIKE THAT COWORKER YURI, TOO...

I guess there's just a lot of yuri out there!!!!
