just had a great idea occur to me. while my age and birthday are things i keep private, there are good reasons for someone to want to know roughly how old i am. but i’ve never thought of a great way to approximate that in a neutral, privacy‐preserving way — until just now: i have seen February 29 a total of 8 times in my lifetime.

I think about this a lot. I get weirded out sometimes when I see someone's age in their bio but at the same time it's still vaguely useful info.
