a game which is intentionally broken and high‐friction to play on its own and so requires, as part of the game experience, installing official (or unofficial????) mods from its Steam Workshop page which fix, improve, and expand on it in interlocking ways to eventually make it a completable product. different end states or methods of completion emerge depending on the combination of mods that the player decides to install — an outcome necessitated by the fact that trying to get ahead of the game by just installing all the mods at once puts it back into an uncompletable state due to conflicts and overloading.
