Speedrunners of Cohost: Have you ever referred to two things happening at the same time in real life as "happening on the same frame" (or something similar)?
Sometimes I have to deal with public busses and say something to the effect of "this reminds me of how some games would exit out of interrupts quickly depending on the amount of background calculations they had to do so that only every ## frames would they do things like check if it's time to load in a new level"
ya know, it's kinda messed up to think that even if you run as fast as possible to the bus stop, jumping over exposed plumbing and bumping into flagpoles, that you won't catch a faster bus even if you are one frame late.
for this reason i propose that we build a "continuous bus system" that wait where was i going with this?
