Ages ago (mid-aughts) I remember some random acmlmboarder recommending this song and saying something like "Now this is how you do a final boss theme!" I went to the trouble of manually downloading the SPC set from snesmusic.org, and sure enough they were right (the whole soundtrack whips btw please listen to it).
Much, much later I learned that the SPC sets for Brandish 1 and 2 were originally ripped by a now-notorious romhacker-emeritus once known as FwugRadiation.
Part of me wonders if, perchance, these two folks were the same individual. Another part of me thinks that I'm probably better off not knowing the truth either way.
