A recurring temptation I have on this webbed site is that whenever I see enough posts on my timeline about some #cohost_meta adjacent stuff, I'm always tempted to post an opposing opinion as a joke.

e.g. I see "Your not obligated to follow anybody on this site." --> I wanna say "Actually, if you're on this site, you're required to follow me. Don't like it? Tough luck, bozo."

Thank you for your understanding as I attempt to only make Good Posts.

okay. I made the mistake of catching up with the latest discourse, and my main takeaway here is that we got a downward, vicious cycle regarding the quality of discourse on the #cohost_meta tag:

  1. Somebody makes a legitimate but esoteric complaint about the site or site culture.
  2. A bunch of people don't Get It.
  3. Any hopes at having a constructive conversation get dashed.
  4. People mute the #cohost_meta tag because they're fed up with it.
  5. The next time point 1 happens again things repeat because the people most likely to contribute constructively to the conversation have muted the tag already. (This is a pretty big guess on my part.)

This is my read on the meta-meta situation at least. I didn't read all the comments on the current meta that closely (mostly for the sake of my own sanity).

the problem with getting severals on this website is that u need to makes posts, which is a challenge if you want severals but have no posting ideas

i hereby suggest that cohost obtain some people to give everybody severals at random intervals, thereby insuring all users are above the minimum recommended dopamine levels -- this will surely increase user retention and cornhost plus subscriptions

as for who would be giving the severals in this situation, i believe that we have more than enough willing grunglers here, and can cultivate more if necessary

thank u 4 ur consideration
