Phlogia was the acting leader of the Embermaw dragons, and was among the largest and physically strongest dragons who regularly stepped foot on Kendesai when she lived. Despite her coarse outer demeanor, she was often known as a graceful and calm presence, offering her strength to those who needed it, and was considered the "bleeding heart" of the dragon leaders by which they formed their alliances and organized around to help the Kendan and Sharkazan survive in the deserts of the continent.
However, it was that drive to help that was, to some, her downfall. In an attempt to help a wounded mage in the desert, she discovered via a poisoned knife between the scales of her shoulder that they were a cleric in league with the Demons of the Void. It was this cleric that soon learned that one should beware the fury of a patient woman, as his intended effort to kill her was far, far less immediate than he was told by his masters. It is said that you can still find the glass and obsidian left from her disposal of the assassin resting undisturbed in the deserts, mixed with the melted remains of the knife.
Over time, her strength began to wane from the venom coursing through her, unable to be healed by most means available at the time, but never did her spirit, or did her drive to help people in any way she can. Her consort Cauterek would have her remains buried in a crypt beyond the sight of mortals, and he would swear to keep her legacy alive however he could as acting leader in her stead and looking after the clutch of eggs she had laid before her passing.
