realizing that the major emotional crux of kratos's story in god of war 3 revolves around him unwittingly sacrificing a child to the flame of olympus to get at pandora's box, only for the big reveal of it being empty.
when the very first game has you open that exact fucking box to start the fight with ares, then had that power taken from him and put into the blade of olympus where it remained for the rest of the series, and thus kratos should logically know and understand that he already took in "the power that can kill the gods" and thus the box is empty.
and i have found literally no explanation for this, so i am forced to assume that he was so blinded by anger and trauma that he forgot that he opened the one box in all of greece whose sole trait is that it should never be opened, after being TOLD to open it because shit was getting so dire.
but then immediately after ZEUS acts as if he didn't know it was empty even though he was the one who fucking put it there after telling Kratos to open it and thus MAKING it empty.
so? is everyone in zeus's bloodline just prone to memoryholes?
