The union has released the below statement tonight, and will be on strike for all of tomorrow—this statement is transcribed under the cut also. I have not seen an explicit call to not use the LA Times website tomorrow—this post will be updated (or I'll make a post tomorrow) if I come across such a demand—but I'll leave it to the reader to read between the lines here on if that's an action they should take in conjunction with the union's walkout
If you're in Los Angeles tomorrow and get the chance, please support the union in this endeavor. As they note on Twitter, The Times has taken drastic steps against the union in the past—it's clear they could use the solidarity here:
The Times has tried to intimidate members before from joining open bargaining sessions. It has surveilled members by photographing people when they've tried to speak to management collectively. These are violations of our rights to act together.
