My name is Cam and I'm here to vibe
When the gods made the world, the first lives they created were the very first sparks of life that were not their own; the Elementals. Primordial energies from the gods expending their power that coalesced into powerful spirits. Seeking to help with the finer details, but lacking physical forms of their own, Gaianyx would create many prototype forms for them, eventually settling on what would become the first dragons.
Stormlung dragons helped maintain air balances, guiding the wind with their wings and provide guidance over long distances with their immensely powerful voices. The current Stormlung nation is led by Buranori, a stern but empathetic individual who watches the skies for any problems, but seems to be keeping herself guarded from most attempts to assist her.
The Embermaw dragons molded the raw magma of the world in their enormous claws thanks to their heat-proof scales, using their prehensile tails to help keep their balance in magma caverns and fire breath to keep the rock malleable. The Embermaws were led by the weary and diligent Cauterek, but he has announced intentions on stepping down and letting his daughter bear the title.
Slipscale dragons help shape rivers and keep them clear of excess debris. Their namesake sleek scales allow them minimal water resistance to quickly dart through rivers using their powerful fins, and they possess an ink-like saliva that becomes highly acidic when exposed to high quantities of oxygen, but is repelled by most bodily oils. The Slipscales are led by the intelligent and charismatic Wavalis, with him also being responsible for the creation of several mobility devices to ensure he and his kin can travel on land with minimal problem.
Quaketail dragons watch over the forests and mountains, using their strong, thick tails to knock over trees and breaking rock with their diamond-hard claws and hooves. They're also able to exhale a highly-oxygenated gas that while foul-smelling and poisonous to most animals in high quantities, can augment a plant's airborne nutrition when absorbed. While they possess wings, they cannot sustain full flight, instead gliding from treetops or mountaintops. They're led by Tectoneta, and while she seems quiet and lethargic, it's merely due to her having a lot of well-placed trust in her kin, and will gladly rise to deal with any issues herself if need be.
Two more forms of dragon were also made alongside the "primary" four, but circumstances have required they remain outside the confines of the planet they survey due to handling details related to the afterlife.
Kelendaan is a Kobold, a species of dragon sharing general body definition with the Kendans, while still maintaining many of their draconic traits.
