agreed it's incredible how much it sounds like it belongs in SM64, for Obvious Reasons,
it's subtle, and maybe I'm imagining it, but I think this is Bob-Omb Battlefield, but in the SM64 Soundfont.

I think I get it, it sounds like they took Bob-Omb Battlefield and played it in a tracker or DAW using the SM64 soundfont, instead of getting it out of the game directly. I think because of how the music is stored and played in the game if you actually wanted to extract it you would end up getting the sequence and soundfont and playing it in... a tracker... hmm...
Yeah, kinda like that. Like, some of the DSP effects and dynamic instrument controls seem a little off, like it's using a subset, like what's in General MIDI or a tracker format's effect set.
In the back of my mind I entirely decided that it's hugely overworked with tons of mario noises filling in instruments that already exist in the font like every other SM64 soundfont adaptation.
I refuse to spend the 30s it would take to confirm or refute the idea.
