This was animated in Animate/Flash, which is still my bread and butter when it comes to puppet animation. These days I've moved on to using other tools for frame-by-frame/traditional animation, such as Procreate, Toon Boom Harmony and TVPaint, but Flash still does puppet animation well enough for my needs!
did an animation test earlier this year using Moho!
the physics system is a lot of fun, and it's useful for taking care of certain elements like hair and clothing, but in practice it can get in the way for fine-tuning the movement of things you'd want to have more control over, such as Julie's... assets.
ah well, live and learn. xP
