honestly I think the world is ripe for a revival of Metamorphosis Alpha-inspired tabletop RPGs. If you're unfamiliar, this is TSR's first sci-fi RPG, an early follow up to D&D, and the direct precursor to Gamma World.
- The original game is set in a catastrophically damaged generation ship. We love being in the guts of a vast machine when the machine is dying, don't we folks?
- This is the game that invented the concept of rolling on a random table to determine your character's mutations, an idea made widespread by the more successful Gamma World and made tremendously popular by you freaks who frequent this website
- Also like Gamma World, this is a game where you loot pre-disaster technology that you don't understand and then blow yourself up with it. Again, we love that.
- The main attributes in this game are Strength, Dexterity, Mental Resistance, Physical Resistance, Radiation Resistance, and Leadership Potential. I think another thing that could be big are shitposty and revealing sets of attributes.
