Every example I can think of isn't a particularly complicated drink but rather a regular who is a known quantity at the store for having a very specific way they want their beverage, and I'm the one who can make it that way for them. Some examples:
- A regular at my current store comes in every day to pick up the same mobile that his wife places, a caramel frapp with lots of extra caramel. I've never met his wife but I know her name because it's on the order, and every time he picks it up he tells me how much she appreciates how I make this beverage, and whenever he comes in and someone new is making it he gets anxious until I specifically vouch that they are capable of making it.
- A married couple back at my first store would only come in on the mornings, the husband would only order his beverage if I was working, and would at times even request that I make it. "You're the mixologist, man. Nobody else can make it like you." It's an arnold palmer, and I made it exactly to standard by following the pre-printed lines that's on every shaker in every store.
- An infrequent regular at my first store who was only placated by one specific supervisor who then transferred, who insisted on ordering a "mocha frapp with less than a half a pump of mocha". First time I made her drink, I pressed the pump fairly lightly - Too much. Second time, I tapped the pump - Too much. The third time, I just didn't add anything. I gave her a coffee frapp. She took one sip and said "This tastes so good I could slap you in the face." and then I became the new specific supervisor that could placate her.
Thank you for the first non-junk ask I've received!
