My brain's workload never dips below 20% for a week whenever Quake 2 is mentioned to me even once.

Fired it up on the Deck so that the novelty of playing with a pad would add something new to the experience and walked through a doorway and muscle memory immediately guided me down to the first secret level where you can get an SSG early.
I got a little mixed up in the first normal level and later we discovered that they'd changed the geometry a bit to include content that was cut from the original commercial release so I'm chalking that up to my mental GPS having old data.
