Like many of my cohort, I simply hoped that by now technology would have advanced to the point that my modest arena shooter video game skills would have enable me to eke out a living as a cyber-gun-for-hire out on the new digital frontier, far beyond any traditional authority's effective jurisdiction. Some of us simply had better backup plans than others.
