I get free spotify premium thru work which is the only reason I started using spotify, and occasionally it bugs out and forgets that I'm premium and I'm shocked at just how miserable the experience is without that. It'd be like if Netflix had a free option that didn't let you choose what order to watch episodes in and still put ads in all the TV timeouts.
It's also an effective barometer for my current "goin thru it" levels because one reason it lapses is if there's just no activity for a month so I have to do the rereg of shame while seriously considering if I've listened to music in the past 30 days.
