For any reasonably-curated community there’s basically only two ways it goes down:
- everyone is more or less on the same page ideologically and so it just becomes a rolling pity party for the sad state of the world.
- you discover one or more of your community members are very much not on the same page ideologically and now you must decide if those differences are dire enough to necessitate pruning your community, which will never be a thing that can be done cleanly or without blowback. Deciding either way doesn't feel good! You won't like it!
If your server's already got one it already has hold of some folks and they will resent its absence, so don't take it away or nothin.
