Have seen the same posts about the recent gay bar raids in Seattle and did want to also post that the backlash has been fairly severe and the backpedaling has been fairly swift all things considered, which I don't say at all to diffuse anger over it happening in the first place cause I'm angry too, that shit sucked.
I think that kind of swift reaction is only possible with a robust and at least somewhat-organized community in the immediate area and I think that's a good thing to keep in mind going forward. They are going to be fucking with us more as things get worse, and the only effective way to dissuade that is to show, by means mundane or otherwise, that we will fight back, together.
