My monitor got here early! I'm hella pumped about that, and also pumped that it came with a displayport cable cause it turns out I don't actually have one of those because I haven't paid attention to any developments in home computer tech since like 2016.
This thing is unreasonably large and fancy, and I'm still trying to get it all set up just how I like it, which is mostly taking some time to explore different settings and figure out what "how I like it" actually is, on account of I've just kind of used the same settings for the past decade because they worked and I never had to think about them. Also, it seems like a small thing but they really aren't kidding when they say it makes a big difference where your monitor is located horizontally relative to your eyes - It's only been a short session here but I can already really appreciate that I can look straight ahead instead of angling my head downward... That was something I coulda fixed with the old one and like, a book underneath it, but ah well.
