I hope I never lose my Midwesterner immunity to snow because it's practically a superpower out here in the PNW, we got a couple inches overnight and the local chat is full of people talking like they narrowly escaped an avalanche or something. I had two separate coworkers ask if I needed a ride home yesterday even though I live like three blocks away and just walk. There's definitely some sharp inclines in the area that I wouldn't feel confident trying to drive down or park on in icy conditions, but it's just so quaint how a few flurries brings out the abject terror in folks around here.

two things to remember:
- those people are all going to drive like maniacs because they're terrified and only have to drive in snow for about 10 days a year
- the roads are going to be worse in 3" of snow than they are in Detroit with 24" of snow. I am not joking.
Oh brother don't worry I know both of these things are true but I still don't have a car so all I need to do is make sure one of these bozos doesn't jump the curb near me
