          Gum Monster!!!

I really like that a lotta folks have just used december to talk about their game of that year, regardless of what year it actually came out, I wanna hear about what you've enjoyed the most recently, even if that game is also just the game we all agree is game of this year

I thought it would be a while before before I found a puzzle game more delightfully nuanced than Stephen's Sausage Roll, but A Monster's Expedition is just sooo good at creating the perfect space for puzzle flow. Puzzle games in general have been my go-to this year and these two have been everything I wanted.

total war: warhammer III came out this year and it's been one of the like three video games I've played. It's a really good game that needed six months for them to release the part that I actually cared about, but now that it's out I'm having a lot of fun with it. I can play factions I've never played to get a real challenge or stuff that I already know to feel slippery and strong.

We're playing through Kotor 2 right now and it's slower than I remember to get off the ground, plus I'm doing a lot of mechanics and story explaining to get my partner up to speed so it's not really fun yet. The fighting fantasy bot was also fun, if that counts as a game I played once it was running. Overall, a pretty mild year for video games for me, I petered out kinda early in baba is you so I'll go back to that at some point.
