so i adopted a meow meow
her name is olivia, she is 5 and is a scrungly. she's fiv+, has 3 legs, no teeth, and a slightly damaged eye. despite all this she's trucking through life and i find that incredibly amazing. she's my very first cat and these past couple of weeks have been interesting as we've been getting to know each other.
despite having no teeth, olivia loves to eat kibble. she likes mushy stuff too but can shovel down kibble with her powerful tongue. she loves to kick her litter everywhere. loves string. she's a strand-type gamer.
she has met coco twice. olivia keeps to herself on the second floor for now and coco in her paddock on the first floor, like two ships in the night. as olivia gets more comfortable with the place, im hoping of setting up more supervised opportunities for them to interact.
her eyes were pretty dilated for the first few weeks, in addition to a few other small symptoms. i decided to bring her to the vet to get a checkup and turns out:
she has an ear infection, a bit of a cold, and slightly overweight.
this little lady is full of problems (affectionate) lol
so now that's she's on a few prescribed treatments, her eyes look much better and seems to be itchy less. it's only been a few days but im hoping that she feels better as she continues to adjust to her new home!
