It's such an unusual experience to get to play in a famous painting. But that's exactly what this game is about: Loyal H. "Bud" Chapman's Infamous 18, a PC golf sim from 2006 that aims to replicate the dream courses painted by Bud Chapman in the early 1980s. Just added to the Golfshrine inventory yesterday, and the main subject of today's acquisitions update!

Update edit: I've also now preserved the game via Internet Archive - so, assuming they're currently up right now, you could experience it too.

Realizing that this game has almost zero Internet presence beyond the one place where you can still buy it, I decided I should probably at least back it up. I already had a disc image made (bin/cue), so just had to pop the cover art on my scanner real quick and throw together an Internet Archive upload. As far as I know this game has zero copy protection whatsoever!

Those who were interested in giving this thing a try, do enjoy - and let me know if you figure out why the text corrupts on modern Windows. πŸ˜…

Oh this is ridiculous and incredible, I love it. Thank you for the writeup!

BTW is there a way to scroll the sidebar? The list of sites on the left cuts off partway through, thought it'd be interesting to see the whole list

I've kind of struggled to get that sidebar to both look good and function correctly and not need me to update every single subpage to change the contents; it's currently an iframe and I don't know how to make it properly scrollable so at present it only really looks correct at 1080 height.

As a workaround you might be able to circumvent this by going to the navbar's page directly? https://netizen.club/~wildweasel/navbar.html
