Watched this phenomenal movie today. T___T
So glad it appeared on my letterboxd feed, I would've never found it otherwise.

It gets spread around a lot on the internet that he once got amazing head from a trans woman and that led him to becoming more of a vocal ally, and while Ozawa himself does confirm that incredible sloppy did happen, there's another interview where he talks about a trans friend who would regularly come stay with him in Tokyo now and then over the span of 16 years, and that he even considered proposing to her but never went through with it. It's been theorized that at least some of their relationship is the basis for this film, although I've not seen any statement from Ozawa himself confirming this. There's an incredible energy to the idea that a guy got a blowjob so good he became a better person, but I also like the long, earnest friendship aspect and don't want it to be overlooked.
