Unity: Endless package managers, thousands of updates and being buried in UI from regular updates, nodes, switches, and esoteric switches proprietary per package
Source Engine: A fucking Soviet ass Engine with immediately understandable building block structure and having lego people you can use as whatever kind of entity you want. Built in 2004 and layered by whatever the devs needed it to be at the time.
I think the winner/my bias is obvious..
What can I say I'm a girl who's a visual learner, and having a simple brush based level editor with basic i/o programming is going to infinitely more approachable when it comes to blocking out a prototype than a software that has been infinitely bolstered by venture capital and ceaseless updates
Todd howard: creation engine :)
