After months in the works (like oh my god I started working on this last October), the day is finally here, introducing RoA Stream Tool v9! With new stuff like:

  • Brand new Top 8 bracket view
  • Built in image recolorer, with custom color support for any character
  • Reworked Remote GUI, now with feature parity with the desktop GUI.
  • Big code rework! It's now way easier to modify any script.
  • Many many many improvements and fixes! Biggest changelog yet!!

The tool is free and open source, and you can get it >Right Here!<

With this release, I'm also opening a new Stream Tool Discord server! Where you can get updates on the projects, or any kind of support about my projects!

And while we're at it, Im also opening my Ko-Fi and Patreon accounts! Rewards include extra stuff that I have been gathering over my years of streaming, like custom Stream Tools, OBS transitions, and source files for everything.

  • Discord
  • Patreon
  • Ko-Fi (All previous Ko-Fi supporters will have everything unlocked for free!)

Oh and now its when I wall text all over this post because this is Cohost after all.

This release has been in the works for way too much time, and has many new cool features, but most importantly, an enormous GUI code rework with a focus on making this project more future proof, and every single fix and improvement that I could think of! Mainly with the purpose of:

    1. Making it as customizable as possible, since this is the main theme of the ST overall.
    1. Having it so its easy for the ST to be transformed into something else.

This is mainly because RoA isn't forever, and we are seeing now that the game is losing relevance by the day, so at the very least the thought of easily branching out is in my mind now.

But that doesn't mean that the tool is done. There are features I would like to see one day, like Crew Battle support, OBS Control through the GUI, or if we're getting ambitious, automated updating gathering data from the game. Will I end up coding those? Only time will tell.

But in any case, that won't happen in a bit of a while, because this project has absorbed me since October and I really need to stop and make something different. Who knows, by doing something else, maybe I will get some skills that can be used to make an even better next release some day.

There's also the fact that as I'm entering more and more into adulthood, I not only have less time to dedicate to personal projects, having a job related to web development means that it's way easier to burn out for doing both at the same time, which sucks.

But we'll see how that one works out. In the mean time, grab this release and go make cool RoA tournament streams happen! 😎
