today's mouse: a rare moment of meeting between Deneb and Rigel in their quarantine/temporary cage, before I noticed the pet store had mistakenly been keeping Deneb with female mice when he was actually male! (Don't worry Deneb, being assigned the wrong gender happens to the best of us.) I realized and then separated them literally about 5 minutes after taking this photo.
It's sad because they got along quite well. I wish that it was easier and safer for vets to neuter male mice!
