Hopefully it is the last window I dunno, I read through Hotel Dusk over a few months from about the start of the pandemic until I think August or something? Maybe? With one or two breaks in-between
It was a good read, I remember bits and bobs of it but not much is very clear
Now the sequel, Last Window, officially translated into english only in europe, I have no idea when I started but I do have a window for that being between two months after I finished Hotel Dusk and the 30th of december of that year since that was the date on my last save
I was wondering whether I'd have to start over all again or not but the game has a novel function where I could just rethread over whatever I did before I got here, so that was nice, there's also a hint at the last page if you wanna tear it off and lose whatever you get from not doing that
So, for a summary of what I have read up to this point:
December 18th, 1980
Kyle Hyde got fired from his job as a door to door salesman and when he got home his four year neighbor who thinks they're a lot closer than they really are and keeps asking for money with a new sob story every month Tony told 'im "there will be no sob story next month, you forgot? Mags sent out a letter saying she will be selling the apartments last week"
Quite a big day for the guy, never checks his mailbox, two months behind on rent, letter on his door, an order for his underjob as a finder of lost items, a thing called a "Scarlet Star", which disappeared in his apartment building back when it was still a hotel, 25 years ago
That was chapter 1, which was about all I did until my older 3DS got a little problem where I couldn't open it up fully anymore or it would just shut off, which is quite a big problem for this game considering it's held sideways like a book and I'm not one of those people who barely opens up books while reading them
I never really understood what the point of that is
