
I think MS, with all its acquisitions, just can't exist as a platform-holder, too. If Sony made more, they'd probably reach this conclusion, too.
MS has the perception of a monopoly. Why dump all that money and have exclusives on a platform that isn't standing up to Switch sales abroad and the rising handheld PC market eroding Series S?
A PC is an Xbox, really.
The thing is - why was buying CoD suck a train-wreck?
Like I don't think the UK, Sony, anyone would have opposed it if Microsoft had just been like "hey we're going multiplaform anyway"
I mean that was only just 2 years ago. And 2 years ago they knew the Xbox was selling half the number of PS5's.
This feels more like a response to something going wrong rather than smart business thinking.
