They acknowledged it, said I'd be getting a refund but... they'll be calling in the next 7 working days days. So, I'm kinda absolutely fucked for a week or so. Because, you know, £3000...

Woof, yeah, that one actually killed a guy I played football with. We didn't get the full story until years later, and the cause was kept very under wraps (family just wanted to be private, understandable). The guy wound up going to the NFL for a couple seasons, so we all just assumed it was a CTE-related overdose or suicide. Turns out, he was just cold, brought the wrong type of heater inside, and died of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Dude used to throw me around like a ragdoll at practice, but he was a goddamn teddy bear.

Carbon monoxide is terrifying.

Nearly killed 5 people I know as the place they lived in had a terrible landlord who faked a bunch of paperwork saying it had working carbon monoxide detectors.

If you don't have one - go get a carbon monoxide detector.

You're first mistake was "goolging" it (I'm just messing). Seriously, that's pretty insane. Are they producing this electricity by melting gold and shooting it into space? Hopefully it's just a system error and you get it straightened out.

Speaking of system errors, I just got a letter yesterday from the UNC health care system (where all of my medical stuff is through) and they had a security breach in January (just now hearing about this though 🤨) that they know contained: my full name, address, phone #, social security number, multiple credit card and my bank account numbers, etc.
Of course they're saying "it's fine, no need to worry", lol. Nah dawg, I'm worried.
If it's not that big of a deal, why'd they provide me with an 18 month subscription to a Transunion (one of the 3 US credit reporting agencies) identity and credit theft watch service (basically Lifelock, if you've heard of that)? Obviously full of shit (or 'shite'? Probably both, ha)
