Hey folks, I just wanted to let everyone know that Qtoid will be shut down at the end of the month. Safe to assume the Cblogs will be as well. If there’s anything you want to save or screencap, please do so. Thank all of you for the community, the spirit and the goddamn joy you brought to the site and that special, beautiful piece of the internet that was truly ours.
Honestly I cannot even describe how much I loved Qtoid. It was the greatest place. Heck I sent money to people I didn't know because I friggin' love 'em and care about them.
When my Bubble Bobble blog went to the front page I was so happy I nearly cried.
Hell I got a chain chomp lamp sent to me from the US as a site refused to ship to the UK and got a god damn Destrictoid pin with it which made me happier than what makes any sense.
It was great. And while for me, not only has it not worked in 2 months anyway, it's been dead awhile as I just couldn't stand to be there after what they did to CM. It made me feel sick. Still does.
But I'm still sad it's going as the memories before the shit hit the fan are bloody special.
I'm glad so many of us came here.
Working lates at the moment (22:30-6:30) while the shop is having some work on it. Is quite the adjustment to ye olde sleep pattern...
Was worried my steps would drop but the desire for a shiny Drampa has kept me going.
Have a nice day planned Saturday to celebrate it being over at a pub/microbrewery which apparently also does some rather splendid burgers so looking forward to that.
May the desire for a shiny dragon, beer and burgers keep me strong.
