It's always funny to me when I run into criticisms of mine or others' art that amounts to "this type of queer art isn't 'right' or is 'bad' rep." When I ask 'em to elaborate either they ghost or give their idea of what reputation SHOULD look like.

Like, I get if somethin' doesn't resonates to your personal experience, is actively malicious (unintentional or not), or lacks nuance. But, my understandin' is there's no real "correct" way to approach being trans, gay, lesbian, or whichever label ya comfortable with. Obviously there's stereotypes of what X person from Y group should be like, but if those ideals require rigid structures to maintain them... then maybe they aren't as innate as ya'd think. Not to say that if a experience is universal that ya less of what that identity is. It makes more sense to me to define rules of gender and sex for yourself. However, that shouldn't be the end all be all for others (or yourself even) and not a lotta good comes from heavily policin' others tryin' to understand their identity.
