After SEVEN years, ActiBlizz finally gives me a character I have some semblance of attraction to in Overwatch. TOO LATE THOUGH. Along with their shit they do behind the scenes (which they're still doing) and how I hate their balancing of this game, I dropped this game outta my rotation.
So glad after ~3 years of playin this game I never gave 'em a SINGLE cent in loot boxes or cosmetics. Paid my $40 n' dipped.
yeah, i have similar feelings, its really cool to see a feminine guy actually be in western media, that feels great as someone who often identifies that way... but still cant feel ok paying for their stuff :( i wanna play wow so bad especially since it does things no other game does, ah well
from what ive gathered it seeeems like they've gotten a lot better at sexist stuff but their attitudes around workers(see the reasons the leader of the classic wow team left) and other shady shit(the stuff with gavin newsom and the lawsuit ACCCK) still seem much worse than whats systemically "garbage business as usual" for a US corporation.
on the other had ABK union doesnt promote doing a boycott but...idk... ill probably just reevaluate once the microsoft merger has been in place for a few months
I can appreciate the artistry that goes into creatin' Lifeweaver without really givin' any kind of monetary value to ActiBlizz at least.
Time will only tell how much Microsoft's acquisition will change. I do hope it's for the better.
