She knows a moderately unethical doctor, and while they do team up occasionally but the amount of mad science that gets done isn't anything to brag about unfortunately
Having said that, it often seems like Wednesday spends far more time scragging henchmen and messing up her professional rivals than working in the lab; then again filling microplates for six hours straight doesn't make for a fast-paced story, so maybe she downplays those parts...
