So I was knocking out some Wondrous Tails duties last evening, and I noticed I had E3N/E4N in this week’s book. E4N is pretty nasty, so I decided to throw E3N into my queues instead, but it didn’t pop. Eventually I decided I didn’t really want to do an Eden raid this evening anyway, so I removed it from the duties I was queuing for.

That was all fine and good, but after I finished getting my seven Wondrous Tails stickers I like to have before I start shuffling for a line, I decided to do one last roulette for the evening: a normal raid roulette. “Gee, it would be cool if I could get E3N here, but I also want to keep grinding XP,” I thought to myself. “Well, why don’t I run it on Astrologian? I have that at 85 so I can get Eden raids on it, and I … feel like I know how most of the buttons work. I’m tired but I can do one more duty before I knock off for the evening.”

So I queued for the roulette on AST, and I waited a while as my queue position counted down … and it was E4N. And everyone with a raise dies to the first landslide because we didn’t remember that the safe spot was in front, not to the sides. And then on the next attempt everyone with a raise dies to the bomb boulders because we don’t remember the radius of their explosions. We got it on the third try, and I did my share of rezzing, but that was sure a thing to do when I was tired and on a job I hadn’t mastered!
