So I got this friend who might be running a tabletop game, Fabula Ultima for those who have heard it. Neat little game that's basically playing a tabletop JRPGs so already I am in my element. Part of session zero is that everyone has input on how the world map is set up, like cities and such. Me being me, decided I should theme my character and the major city she's from should have ballet/opera/musical theme to it. Looking up names for ballets I stumbled upon something both utterly hilarious and peek American.
Hey y'all, did who know some guy in 1938 decide that us, as people in this great nation, needed more yeehaw in our ballet? Weather or not this is true someone went ahead and made Billy the Kid in to a ballet. Youtube doesn't have the full play with the only clip I found is so blurry that it looks like I'm seeing Bigfoot of classical dance. Full OST can be listened to if you want, but I really want to see the whole thing in action.
New York Public Library online/Google search got me covered on some of the costumes that was used from the 70s (black and white) 80s (in color) and, boy, I can't decide if this is gay, a character from Jojo or both. The one doing the John Cena post kills me each time I see it. Either way it was a really fun hole I tossed in to, because my sense of curiosity refused to die when I grew up.
