Obviously the colors and posing is playing with some kind of idea about "the same but inverse" but I also like seeing how this seems to be pointing out their body shape differences with the same theme. 💕 (At least this is what I get from it). Also love Mantis's pointy fingers. :3
aaa your interpretation is spot-on! when i was drawing this, i had an image in my mind where Liquid is a strong arm holding a deadly sharp knife, and Mantis is the knife haha... they're like extensions of each other.
i always have loved giving Mantis some Claw Hands. he's so pointy
